It has been said that the stars are the streetlights of eternity and with that belief, gazing upon them sets your course for the future with infinite possibilities. Now, while it’s true that I cherish my adventures as a solo traveler, there are just some things you must experience with that special someone and sleeping and dreaming under the stars is one of them.
This Wanderlust Woman, however, is not a girl who enjoys camping. I am all about luxury and believe I have found what appears to be the perfect 5-star resort to fulfill this romantic fantasy. It is the L’Albereta Relais and Chateux, just outside of Milan, in the city of Erbusco.
Let me preface this by saying that I have wished upon every shooting star I have ever seen in my life so the Italian Feast of San Lorenzo on August 10th seems like the perfect holiday for me. It’s the “Night of Shooting Stars” because it occurs during the annual Perseid meteor shower. Italians believe that the shooting stars are the tears of San Lorenzo, who was burned as a martyr, and for every falling star a wish will be granted.
My wish is to spend next August in L’Albereta’s penthouse Cabriolet Suite where the skies open to a heavenly 4-poster bed below, at the push of a button, and where we can sleep perchance to dream that our every wish comes true.
The hotel is conveniently located to nearby Lake Iseo, an island of eleven villages. It is here where you will find Montisola, the scene for the great 19th century love affair between composer Frederic Chopin and writer Aurore Dupin, whose nom-de-plume was George Sand.
A spa, romance, great food and wine under the starry skies of Brescia in the Lombardy region. Who could ask for more?

Hey everybody! The May 5th 2012 full moon is a Super Moon! In case you don’t know the Super moon is a moon that is full at the point in its orbit at which it is closest to the earth – AKA perigee-syzygy.
The Perigee of course is the term for being closest to the earth and the syzygy is the term for the alignment of the Sun, the Earth and The Moon (in that order) creating the full moon!
The moon appears about 16% larger but its relative as you don’t have anything to gauge it against.
Just a fun FYI!
