Wanderlust Women know that when you solo travel to the Mediterranean, it’s all about three things, OK, maybe 4 if you count shopping, but in and around the Mediterranean it’s the beaches, the men………….and the food. So a visit to summer hotspot, Marbella, Spain is rich in all three flavors, so to speak.
I called upon sister wanderluster Cheryl, who just raved about Zoi Zoi in Marbella’s Old Town, for this Mangia Monday. For starters, she nibbled on the Grilled Green Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce and and Stuffed Mushrooms with Spinach and Fontina Cheese. (Hey, the girls like food!) She says both were yummy!
Two entrees which were tried were the Soy Glazed Tuna with Tempura Vegetables and a Chorizo Risotto, a special of the day. Cheryl would order the Tuna again but she says the Chorizo Risotto was out of this world.
Zoi Zoi, located at Plaza Altamirano 1, is housed in an old hacienda in Marbella’s Old Town and has just undergone a major renovation. Now there is a heated outdoor terrace and a glass roof, so visitors can dine outside most of the year. The service is excellent and the restaurant is welcoming for the solo traveler as well. No request is too big and they make you feel at home. Prices may seem high but are relative to everything in Marbella.

OK – in an effort to protect the innocent – yes, men were met, yes drinks were good……..and definitely yes, thongs should be banned on men! LOL
Food sounds great, and their terrace looks beautiful.
For me, you can keep the beaches and men with too small speedos, but what about the wine, cocktails at sunset, sangria????
