I’ll never forget my first trip to Capri. It was as though God had sent me to the Garden of Eden. There is no place more beautiful and serene and probably no place as costly. Ah, luxury comes with a price.
The 5-Star Caesar Augustus Hotel seems to fit that bill. It’s housed in an old mansion, managed by the same family for five generations. They are offering a Best of Capri package for three nights for a deluxe seaview room at Euro-1776 (approx. $2514) It includes room and breakfast for two, for three nights, one dinner, harbor transfers & a private tour with taxes included. If it sounds high to you, just know that I paid $24 for a capuccino and a piece of Caprese lemon cake. So, this sounds like a bargain to me. I’ll let you know about the service if I ever stay there
and please leave a comment here if you have been a guest at Caesar Augustus.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and allowing me to discover yours. So many great entries here, including the one and only gorgeous Capri. In answer to your question – yes I covered hard news – for the last few years my beat was NYC finances – anything from reconstruction of the World Trade Center to MTA fare increases. How ’bout you?
